The Bayou Restaurant has been a Maryland favorite for over 60 years. The extensive dinner menu includes a wide array of seafood, such as the Scallops Imperial, a large plate of sea scallops topped with a heaping portion of lump crab imperial. The Fried Oyster Platter is a signature item and a crowd favorite at The Bayou. It may be difficult to make a decision while perusing the menu — which also features Filet Mignon, Veal Parmesan, and Chicken Cordon Bleu — but regardless of the choice, the food is always prepared with the utmost attention to quality and flavor.
The Bayou also features a large banquet hall, which can accommodate anywhere from 30 to 200 guests. Both buffet and seated menus are available for banquets, as well as a two hour cocktail reception food service, featuring hors d’oeuvres such as pastry roll ups and mushroom caps. The Bayou also offers many weekly specials, such as Free Dessert Thursdays and the Slow Roasted Prime Rib Special on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
